TUBULAR LIFT

Hidral has designed and manufactured a special tubular lift for a major multinational company's construction megaproject: one of the largest airports in the world.

TUBULAR LIFT

Hidral’s tubular lift has been installed in the new airport, which is one of the largest construction megaprojects in the world and scheduled to open in late 2013. The airport boasts a modern design, the most advanced technology and an investment of more than $15 billion.
The hydraulic direct-push lift is located in the well of a spiral staircase and will be used to transport passengers between two floor levels. An operator, who will always accompany the passengers, will control the movement of the lift by means of hold-to-run buttons.
The lift consists of an open circular platform that is completely covered with stainless steel. The cabin is leather lined, has a height of 1200 mm and features a curved stainless steel handrail, LED lights around the interior, a stone floor, an automatic glazed double door and a retractable bridge for loading and unloading.
With a maximum load capacity of 675 kg (9 passengers), 4 m travel and 0.15 m/s speed, the tubular lift is designed and manufactured in compliance with the essential safety requirements set out in Annex I of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
This tubular lift is a customised engineering project that reinforces Hidral’s position as a leading manufacturer of made-to-measure lifting solutions. Hidral continues to invest in its R&D team to ensure the continuous improvement of its existing ranges and the development of new products in order to satisfy the needs of the market.
